Retirement gives you more time. You can slow down for more moments with your spouse or to enjoy solitude. Retirement also means more time to travel and cruising is an easy, fun way travel more often.
To keep the cruising experience relaxing, consider purchasing travel insurance with emergency medical and trip cancellation benefits. You should know that your Government of Canada health insurance plan may not fully cover you if you experience a medical emergency outside of your home province. Travel insurance with emergency medical coverage may help you fill this insurance gap.
Imagine planning the perfect cruise to the Bahamas, but a predicted tropical storm derails your plans. In this and multiple other scenarios, travel insurance with trip cancellation benefits may help you postpone your trip without losing money, if you purchased your policy before the storm was forecasted.
